Google in Your Own Language Program

April 3, 2011

5.2020 No longer available.

10/26/12: For reasons unknown no one has been able to access the Google in You Language website. Will update when it is available.

There are a lot of opportunities to get Navajo content uploaded online. This is just one.

Google has a site where volunteers can translate the main Google and searching pages into other languages. As of today there is nothing entered for the Navajo language.

I would encourage those who are moderately familiar with Navajo to start uploading translations. Don’t be worried about being wrong, if there is a better translation someone else can correct your work.

I refuse to have my language published online on Google Translator. I ultimately refuse. Nor will I be persuaded to do so.

Interesting. I added diné to the list of google languages. Seems like those guys in MV have killed the project totally. Sad.

Good day I am so excited I found your website,
I really found you by mistake, while I was searching on Google for something else, Regardless I am here now and would just
like to say many thanks for a incredible post and a all
round entertaining blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all
at the minute but I have bookmarked it and also added in your
RSS feeds, so when I have time I will be back to read a lot more, Please do
    keep up the fantastic b.
